Donald J. Botts, 85, of Port Charlotte passed away July 12, 2013. He was the son of John and Susan (Knoll) Botts, born May 27, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI. While still in high school, Don bought and ran his own gas station, and went on to own and operate several other businesses. He was an accomplished trumpeter, playing in a quartet and traveling with Billy Graham. He was very involved in his church as a song leader and choir director, Sunday School director, and deacon.
